The Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens offers Lens razor-sharp images from a wide range of focal lengths and wide / fast aperture in the economic package. The AF system is obvious drawback of this lens.

As a whole, and especially for the price, I am very satisfied with the quality content Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. At the wide end (70mm), this lens is sharp wide open (2.8) on the 35mm frame. Stop-down is only a small improvement in sharpness – reduced vignetting is the main difference to be seen. With 100mm, the center is still sharp wide open, but corner softness is in the background slightly curved sharp focus. Stop, is to f/5.6 results in image quality well into the frame.

Slow and loud micromotor performance in the Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. The slow speed makes photography is not sufficient for most of the action / sports photography – is disappointing, since the aperture and fast telephoto lens.

The sound hidden black than white Tamron 70-200mm Canon L lens, autofocus, but you may Tamron much faster than the white lens in the inclusion in a quiet neighborhood.

And if you must use the manual focus, you can get more attention. Tamron 70-200, the push-pull coupling system used to switch between AF and MF. Where can walk in MF mode can be done in secret (which will hear a “snippet” if you do not move slowly – which is often difficult, because the teeth can not close properly), but will return to the AF mode to make loud “snap” to. FTM (Full Time Manual) focusing is not available, but these benefits to encourage / pull switching system is that it is not the focus ring during AF. No additional AF / MF switch. This system works, but not nearly as elegant as a system for Canon ring USM or Sigma HSM system. Even that does not cost much.
