Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM is relatively easy, but very sturdy construction. It was long and narrow in your hands – and feel lighter than that. This was similar to the Canon EF 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM. Built-in slide-out lens hood is very comfortable. A member of the Canon L Series Lens Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM “optical and mechanical performance overall is very good. 400 L 5.6 internally very quickly and quietly focused) partly due to the ring-type USM (ultrasonic motor. FTM (Full Time Manual) is a function of focus, and turn not installed filters.

CA (chromatic aberration) is quite well. Hue, saturation and contrast is excellent. Bokeh (background blur quality) is very good, also thanks to an 8-blade aperture. Vignetting is quite well. Under present very low distortion, but is not in most (if available) to see your pictures.

Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM doing extraordinary sharpness in the department. Even wide open, the 400 f/5.6 produces very sharp images to the corners of the Full Frame – That is, if you are still during the recording lens …

What is missing from this lens, in my opinion, is the IS) (Image Stabilization. Hand in hand with a 400mm f/5.6 lens takes a lot of light, high ISO settings and / or very strong arm. Many people use this lens handheld without a problem, but I think a big improvement in IS Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM. With a stable tripod or monopod can solve this problem.

Weather seal is missing, another option would be that the Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM useful – the lens is to use mainly seen in the open.

Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM lens is the best and make the Canon EF 1,4 x Extender compatible. Do note that at the autofocus will not be lost-pro Canon body when using this combination. 1-series body’s ability to maintain AF, but only with the center AF point. Adds 1.4x barrel distortion, CA and some reduction in sharpness. 400 f/5.6 is also compatible with Canon EF Extender 2x. No body, Canon 800mm auto focus and aperture 11 is a combination of better image quality degradation will be visible. Expect a very dark viewfinder when using the 400 + 2x Combo. What is important is less important that the diameter of the lens mount 400 in a somewhat narrower than the extender.

If a seller who has earned a good reputation, a good tripod and padded collar Canon LZ1132 cases in the Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM.

Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM for bird photography offering and especially the birds in flight as popular as much coverage at a reasonable cost in a relatively light package. Good performance vignetting help even the blue sky as they should be – blue uniform. Other applications include animal photography, and general well-lighted sports fields.

Two good reasons to a third party lenses for the camera-buying function has) no producer at one of their own lenses (such as a different focal length or zoom range, or to save money. The main reason to buy Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG Macro HSM, save money, such as Canon already has a very good performance 4-200mm Model 70 for same-spec’d Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM has. So, if there is a trade-off for a lower price? It’s a great question.

My disappointment started to come out of the box with this lens – brought memories of my time with the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro lens. I returned my first Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG Macro HSM for a foreign body in the lens – it is big enough that I would not trust to verify the image quality. No problem – I returned for another.

I have two Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG MACRO HSM (it was the physical control). But I quickly over 12,233 ISO resolution test chart that this lens has a definitely hard to focus problems. ISO 12,233 tabular results posted for this lens (Example 2) – Please note that the 70mm and 85mm samples from this lens is framed with AF. The focus was so bad that the manual focus right shot from the same position that the image will cause order was placed when accurate manual focus on – chart details a bit smaller than he should do. Not with samples from both the focal length of lens distortion for the comparison sample (sample 1 with the lens is the default).

I am very disappointed, but accept another copy of the front-focus Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG Macro HSM at the third attempt. Two of these lenses came from B & H and the third came from Amazon.com (only) on a mix. I tested this on two lenses Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III body (one is a Canon-calibrated), and Canon EOS 40D body. AF all at the same results focus – are consistently ahead. I did not try before, copy the four.

Quality problems that I saw was very disappointing because this lens has the potential to be good.

The Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG Macro HSM is well built – generally Sigma EX lenses. The focus and zoom ring is a good size and the relatively smooth-functioning with a good amount of friction. Three copies of this lens has a small piece in the MF ring, but the second is a better manual focus lenses that I use. Overall size of the ring and form a very good lens when the zoom ring to change the direction opposite from the direction of standard for Canon. I’m not a fan of easy-to-get-dusty, hard-to-clean (try the non-rest of the band) Sigma dull, but it looks good and not reflective. Here are some views from Sigma – use the links below, mouse over the image.

The Sigma 70-200 Macro II are both internal focus and internal zoom makes it very fun to use. 77mm filters are not installed spiders in MF. Sigma Lens Hood included. Sigma new pages and front-center-pinch has removed especially good – just the lens cover in front of the lens hood.

The 4.8 oz (135 g) Collar shown above is included and released. A very short turn retaining ring on the screw rotation of the release train and loosen the screws to completely remove the collar – while the lens is still attached to the camera. This is much better than the Nikon and Canon f/2.8s implementation requires a lens from the camera on a tripod for the removal of ring to be removed. Tripod ring does not have the feeling, as it rolled on the bed (not) the most, but relatively smoothly.

Full publication date: You should know that there are potential problems with using a lens from other manufacturers from the camera body manufacturer. Since Sigma reverse engineers (vs.) licenses) manufacturer AF routines (with the exception of her own body, there is the possibility that the new body could not support third party older lenses. Although not common, it happens. Sometimes rechipped lenses can be made compatible, sometimes not. More unusual is the situation in the lens and body manufacturers each other instead of the blame for the problem. For 4-year benefits Sigma USA warranty – it is far superior to Canon standard 1 year warranty. The risk may be low, but you must figure into your buying decision.

Usually I would expect to buy a new lens / Retail reflect on the experience of others have. Being 0 for 3 on the model of the lens, I could not in good conscience recommend that you to buy this device. That is a shame, because this lens has the potential to be good – and very good value.

Focal length range and fast aperture is a very useful feature. They are very good for portraits, sports, landscapes and other common types, including images taken in low light levels. But would at this point, I prefer the Tamron autofocus true that at least some time and a better image quality in both the 200mm (we tend to look with extreme zoom lenses, our). And, of course, Canon 70-200 L version the best answer.

If you are willing to try this program, make sure to give a good return policy of your seller. I try not to be producing Sigma warranty for this lens, but that is another option that has the potential to great lens for the price.

The Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens offers Lens razor-sharp images from a wide range of focal lengths and wide / fast aperture in the economic package. The AF system is obvious drawback of this lens.

As a whole, and especially for the price, I am very satisfied with the quality content Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. At the wide end (70mm), this lens is sharp wide open (2.8) on the 35mm frame. Stop-down is only a small improvement in sharpness – reduced vignetting is the main difference to be seen. With 100mm, the center is still sharp wide open, but corner softness is in the background slightly curved sharp focus. Stop, is to f/5.6 results in image quality well into the frame.

Slow and loud micromotor performance in the Tamron AF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. The slow speed makes photography is not sufficient for most of the action / sports photography – is disappointing, since the aperture and fast telephoto lens.

The sound hidden black than white Tamron 70-200mm Canon L lens, autofocus, but you may Tamron much faster than the white lens in the inclusion in a quiet neighborhood.

And if you must use the manual focus, you can get more attention. Tamron 70-200, the push-pull coupling system used to switch between AF and MF. Where can walk in MF mode can be done in secret (which will hear a “snippet” if you do not move slowly – which is often difficult, because the teeth can not close properly), but will return to the AF mode to make loud “snap” to. FTM (Full Time Manual) focusing is not available, but these benefits to encourage / pull switching system is that it is not the focus ring during AF. No additional AF / MF switch. This system works, but not nearly as elegant as a system for Canon ring USM or Sigma HSM system. Even that does not cost much.

Although not small, Canon EF 300mm lens f/2.8 L IS USM is one of the smaller Canon super-telephoto lens – is much smaller and lighter than many of them. Magnesium alloys are used in the lens body produces 5.6 lb (2550 g) lens only full scale. F/2.8 IS 300 lens measures 5.0 “x 9.9″ (128.0mm x 252.0mm) without the included Canon ET-120 C) fibers (high strength / low weight, lens hood attached. If you have the awareness of consumers are accustomed to Canon, this lens is a bit until you get used to it (the image quality will help you use) very quickly. If you frequent the 400 f/2.8 L is used, this lens is small and light. Weight, hand in hand to 300 f/2.8 IS making tired after a long period of time – but obviously handholdable the average person.

IS (Image Stabilization) makes a sudden get a picture when hand-holding, the Canon EF 300mm f/2.8 L IS USM significantly easier for subjects that are not moving quickly – or that can be fired in the IS mode 2 (panning mode). This allows 300: hands on the shutter speed 1 / 125 or less (2 stops) from the services. I am a big fan of Canon IS lenses – they leave me my picture is missed.

This version of the IS lens tripod-sensing. Canon EF 300mm f/2.8 L IS USM, knows that a tripod was used as the vibrations go below a certain level. To stand by, is to mount this lens on a tripod, take advantage of the secondary IS mode – reducing mirror slap, shutter and tripod vibrations.

When mounting the camera Canon EF 300mm f/2.8 L IS USM lens on a tripod, a strong tripod head and tripod is required. Better still, the lens on the body and Wimberley Sidekick or the full Wimberley gallows. Risk of damage to the lens by dropping can be significantly reduced through with dreadlocks type mounts. For sports photography and similar situations, a 300 f/2.8 monopod it very easy to handle for a long time. IS 300 is equipped with a removable rotating tripod collar, which I attached a Wimberley P30 Lens Plate for use on a tripod.

Canon EF 300mm f/2.8 L IS USM a better performance with the Canon Extender EF 1,4 x II and most 2x II Canon EF Extenderthan, if not all other Canon lenses. Add 1.4x creation 420mm f/4.0 IS lens – which is very good and the focal length of max aperture – and yes, it always works with extender installed yet.

Canon EF 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM is relatively small, built 2.6 pounds (1190 grams) and very good. The weight is 300 f / 4 is ranked at slightly less than the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM. 300 f / 4 is relatively thin and long – 3.5 “x 8.7″ (90.0mm x 221.0mm) – and to feel that way. The handling is very good and very good to bring.

With Canon’s ring USM) (Ultrasonic Motor, about 300 f / 4 IS focuses very fast, precise and quiet. I have the accuracy of the focus will be very good – especially when shooting in AI Servo mode. FTM (Full Time Manual) focusing is enabled.

300 f / 4 is one of the two current Canon lens that has a built-in retractable lens hood (Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM the other). I like the convenience hood rages out / to / storage – use or gain access to the filter to. A 77mm filter to be more precise – the same size as many other Canon lenses, the L-series. Apart from the hood, this lens does not extend to the focus. The filter does not rotate.

Canon EF 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM lens is known as the sharpness. Sharpness wide open at f/4.0 is very good with a slight increase in the f/5.6 looks. Very good sharpness corner, even when used on full body.

Near full-frame look-vignetting corners can be seen at f / 4 at full frame body – this is mainly a non-factor, and disappeared after stopping down slightly. Color and contrast. CA (chromatic aberration) is quite well. Very little cushion distortion – but you probably will not notice. Flare is not a problem.

Disconnect the subject from the background easily opened with this lens because of the long focal length and relative width of f / 4. Also f / 4 lens is available, but it comes at a price much higher. Put a little distance between the Canon EF 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM lens themes and backgrounds, choose a variety of apertures and observe the subject is blurred from the nice, smooth background. Oof quality (out of focus) This area with an 8-blade aperture improved.

One of my favorite features of the Canon EF 300mm f/4.0 L IS USM lens is the image stabilizer (IS). Canon 300 Is it possible at much lower shutter speed than normal – 2 stops lower his handheld. This does not stop a moving object, but it is amazing to stop what the movement of a photographer. Please note that the version of this lens to be switched off when tripod mounted. Otherwise, the image stabilization can act recklessly. Also to be noted that the implementation is not that difficult, but more than some newer implementations heard.

There are many types of lenses in photography, from 300mm lens, 200mm lens and 50mm lens standard lens. Procurement of the right camera lens is essential if you intend to push buttons are that complex can be measured. Technically challenging shots never be the essence or aura, except through the lens of a very complex categorical is recorded to record the image. This can hurt very experienced photographer, but the fact remains that if the right lens is not used or applied, then the nature of the fire lost in the translation. Give appropriate assistance 300mm lens photographers on the nature and level objects, you use the right-hand corner and click.

The correct lens is also important for their help in determining efficiency, transferring the theme of the film in the form of images. There are a variety of cameras that require a specific lens and not just the design, to accept others. Necessary for the camera is very rare to find and the photographers had to do a lot of scouts to contact them. Many independent lens manufacturers have tried to remedy that deficiency advantage that the suppliers are required to come with a high quality lens suitable for all cameras. Underwater photography requires macro lens (not the 300mm lens) necessary to capture the movement of water fish. Because the water optical resolution is not possible, a picture with the micro-lens can take picture resolution slows down very low.

Having said that, the micro-lens, great shot while working in the air. Minimum lens with a resolution of the utmost importance. The focal length is different too extensively with many of the lens are not identical over a length. Focal length determines how much fire can be caught, has a major role in the size and clarity that the final result is published, also depends on playing. The length of the lens also plays an important role in the beautiful photography. Shutter speeds of more terms in the lens where the lens is shorter, it is not required. Wildlife photography requires 300mm telephoto lens with high resolution like a wild animal from a distance shot will always move and with a lower resolution would mean that the shooting was not clear.

Critical image that will always require special lenses. Would be without this lens to catch the shot is very difficult to find and correct expression of them is required to be topped cruel. Optical resolution is probably not the same as those which were eventually to a situation in which snaps very dissatisfied. To prevent this fiasco to occur, it is always recommended that instead of the lens right photographer so that the spirit and essence of photography in a shot that is not only a picture but a picture is taken with much caught the careful, precise and virtue.
